Weekend Self Care

Happy Friday!

Hey y'all!

I am back on this beautiful Friday to offer you some weekend self-care tips! I hope these can lead you to a happier more relaxing weekend! Whether there is snow where your at or the leaves are still the only things on the ground, enjoy it! Personally, this is my FAVORITE time of the year! I love fall and I love the holiday season, so I am personally thriving!

As always, thank you for coming and always return! Hit the subscribe button at the top of the page, enter your email and get email notifications on when I post, which is always random! haha

Forget about the previous week!
Whether you had a great week or a bad week, go ahead and put it behind you! Enjoy your weekend, it's like an entire reset button for the past week and week to come! Personally, I treat it as an entire separate couple of days!

Wake up with no alarm, if possible!
Sometimes we have to work or have early obligations on the weekends, BUT if possible... allow yourself to wake up without an alarm. Sleep in when possible! Get the rest you deserve but may not be getting throughout the work/school week.

Start your morning with your sacred 'wake-up' brew!
My go to is coffee FOR SURE! But whether you live off of bean juice, leaf water (haha tea), or something else... start your day sipping and enjoying it! My favorites are, as said, coffee, hot tea, and an iced matcha latte! Most of the time I go for coffee, but occasionally I am in the mood to switch it up, especially when it is hot outside, I tend to go for a more chilled and cooling drink.

Do something you LOVE to do!
Especially during the fall and holiday season, you can find so many fun activities to enjoy on the weekend! Just find something you love doing, and maybe don't always get the time to do... AND DO IT!

To add to that, see the people you LOVE to see!
This is absolutely my FAVORITE thing about the weekend! I always get to see my friends and favorite people at school! We spend time relaxing, goofing around, etc. and it truly makes my weekends the best! Especially when I have time for family too!

Enjoy nature!
With the colder weather coming, many of us may decide to hole up in our homes and get the seasonal depression started! Try not too! Go horseback riding and enjoy the turning leaves, play in the snow, find something to do outside where you can enjoy and play with nature! Your body and mind will thank you for the fresh air and break from electronics and dry heat!

Jam to your favorite tunes!
The best therapy is singing your favorite songs at the top of your lungs! So do it, its a major relief and it's fun!

Take a second to recall your dreams and all the things you want to do!
Remind yourself of where you are, where you want to be, and exactly how you're going to do that! Just to get you motivated for the weeks and weekends to come!

Take a few minutes to do nothing!
Enjoy the fact that you have the gift of being alive and enjoy it! Look around you and remember everything you are blessed with! All the people you love in your life, the roof over your head, the clothes on your body! Hey, we all want that Gucci belt, but the one from American Eagle definitely gets us by and does its job haha, am I right?! But seriously, take a few minutes to remember that not everyone is as blessed as you are and not everyone lives to your age, no matter your age, every day and every year is a blessing! Remember that, my sweets :)

With all my love and self-care wishes and guidance,

Abbigail

P.S. self-care is important! take the time to treat yourself and do it! You don't have to start with a massive list of '50 self-care tips', just change one thing!

Also, I am NO self-care expert! I try and take the time for self-care myself and am inspired daily by advice I find. So these are just a few things I took away from my self-care journey! These are what I find most helpful going into the weekend and when I take the time to do these, I feel my best going into Monday!
